UPDF Attacks ADF Rebels again in Congo, Kills Scores; President Museveni
President Yoweri Museveni who doubles as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces has given an account of the recent attacks on the Allied Democratic Forces ADF rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In a statement issued on social media, the president said, "this Tuesday, the 14th, we carried out a devastating attack on the pigs in Congo, this time 68 kms from the border. We used both ground attack, planes, and medium-range artillery. The results were devastating for these parasites."
Museveni noted that, "The Congo forests are no haven for them. That is why some of the remnants are running back into Uganda. We are hunting for them. We shall get them."
He called onto the public to be vigilant in their places of aboard as security forces try to wipe out rebels. "I urge you all to be vigilant for strangers in your area. Also, vigilance is needed in markets, churches, mosques, and public transport systems."
"We are kuhuura (threshing or clubbing like in millet) the main terrorist groups in Congo and we are also dealing with empulunguse (the scattered millet after threshing)," he emphasized.
