Bolster Groundwork against Vice, District Task Forces against Trafficking in Persons Urged
Commissioner of Police, Julius Twinomujuni, has urged the District task forces against Trafficking in Persons to bolster its groundwork if it is to achieve effective results in the ongoing battle against this societal vice.
Twinomujuni who also doubles as the Coordinator for the Prevention in Trafficking in Persons in Uganda Police delivered this message on 17th November 2023 during his visit to Kyotera District in the Greater Masaka Region.
During this visit, the Commissioner engaged with the task force to evaluate its impact, exchange experiences, and formulate strategies to address the vice.
The district task force among others comprises of religious leaders, police personnel, political leaders, and journalists from the district of Kyotera.
For its smooth running, the initiative receives support from the Better Migration Management Programme, funded by the EU and Germany.
