2026 General Elections! 'We Have Started Engaging Our Grassroot Mobilizes'- Team Thorough Delegations Head Ssebuufu

The Commission is currently holding meetings with various stakeholders as part of preparations for the 2025/2026 General Elections Roadmap.

 These engagements focused on collaboration and strengthening democratic processes.

This has also prompted political politicians to start preparation within their political parties.

In the same development, pressure groups have started engaging their mobilizers and coordinators in preparation for participation in the forthcoming elections.

Ssalongo charles Ssebuufu, head of delegations and business community Team Thorough YKM Kira house headed by Pr Robert Mbabazi who also doubles as tha presidential mobilizer on poverty eradication and development noted that this year, they have started with athe launch of poverty eradication strategy for 2025 ahead of a mega three days exhibition in April at Kololo grounds that aims at showcasing the development projects and products.

"We are engaging our coordinators from village level to a certain the achievements and challenges at grassroot level and we hope to continue meeting them periodically". Said Salongo Charles Ssebuufu head of deligations and business community Team Thorough YKM Mira house . 

Daisy Namayanja, the head of entertainment desk Team Thorough YKM revealed that the artists have advanced from only entertaining public but to promotion of social economic transformation through music.

"We are shifting from just entertaining public to spreading the message of poverty eradication  across the country and mindset change".Said Namayanja.

The launch was graced by Presidential Adviser, On Special Duties, Mr. Baine Peter who urged the coordinators to mobilize the communities to embrace government development programs like PDM among others.

The function was attended by opinion leaders,  Officials from the, Ministries of Gender, Local Government, and Trade, business people, religious leaders like Can. Semwangga Mike, Head of Development, and Planning, in the Diocese of Central Buganda, he represented, Bishop, Michael Lubowa, Bishop of Central Buganda Diocese.

Others are Hon. Telaga David, from JIMUKA in Jinja. Small, medium, and big groups, through their leaders, Cooparative, and Union leaders, aspirants at different levels 

Heads Of Departments, and Desks Leaders, as well as, Administrators, Regional Coordinator, District Coordinators, Sub County Coordinators, Parish Coordinators, as well as, Village Coordinators.
