Angry Man Murders Wife In Cold Blood, Takes Rat Poison.

STATEMENT ON MURDER BY HACKING AT VUMBA VILLAGE KAKABALA PARISH BUTUNTUMULA SUBCOUNTY IN LUWERO DISTRICT. 

Central police station in Luwero district is actively investigating circumstances under which a woman was hacked to death this morning of Sunday 21/04/2024 at unknown time at Vumba Village, Kakabala parish Butuntumula subcounty in Luwero district. 

Preliminary information indicates that on the 19/04/2024 the deceased came with her girl child from Namutumba district to check on her Husband and since she came they have been staying together and having some domestic quarrels.

 ASP Twiineamazima Sam tke public relations officer Savannah region said that, On 21/04/2024 at unknown time of the night one Musana Sosipatero aged 35 year old, a musoga by tribe, casual worker and a resident of the above address strangled his wife whose name is not known by the community. 

Today morning the 21/04/2024 the neighbors had the child crying in the house and went to find out, they found out the house was open, both the deceased and the suspect were found lying on the floor.

The woman was dead with two deep cuts on the neck and the hand around her neck and the man suspected to have poisoned himself using rat poison which was smelling all over the house.

Immediately Katumba the reporter reported the matter to police and a case of murder by hacking was registered, scene visited and documented by soco and homicide squad from luwero cps, body taken to Luwero hospital for postmortem examination. 

The suspect rushed to Luwero Hospital for treatment and the child was handed to local leaders, relevant statements were recorded from relevant witnesses as investigations are still ongoing.
