Angry Mob Descend On Suspected Thug Killing Him Instantly

Police have registered a robbery incident occurred on 16 Dec. 24, at around 1530 hours in Kamuli Lubawo Zone, Kireka, Namugongo Division, Kira Municipality Wakiso district.

 Three thugs, armed with two pangas and riding a motorcycle, attacked a 52-year-old woman, Namwanje Elizabeth, who was driving a silver Spacio motor vehicle.

The thugs smashed the vehicle and robbed Namwanje of her money.

However, she managed to knock the motorcycle, causing the suspects to fall and escape.

 Community members responded quickly, killing one suspect and arresting another, identified as Mayombo Nicholas, a 35-year-old resident of Kireka railway zone.

The third suspect remains at large. Police recovered the motorcycle, a Haojue with registration number plate UGH 239S, along with two pangas.

 The body of the deceased suspect was taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem analysis.

SSP Patrick Onyango the police spokesperson Kampala metropolitan area confirmed the incident adding that Namwanje was rushed to Life Link Hospital in Kyaliwajala for medical attention as Investigation continues.
