Anti Corruption Court sets 25th May as Hearing Date for Minister Nandutu’s Corruption Case.
The State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Hon Agnes Nandutu was today arraigned before the Anti Corruption High Court Judge, Jane Okuo Kajuga to answer to accusations of dealing with suspect property. The latter set 25th May, 2023 for the hearing to commence and adjourned the matter to that date.
Justice Kajuga however directed the prosecution to complete disclosure of evidence against the State Minister to her lawyers by 5th May, 2023. She warned that the list of documents should be fully signed by both parties and submitted to the Court Registry by the end of this week.
Hon. Agnes Nandutu who was remanded about a fortnight ago, is charged with dealing with suspect property contrary to Section 21a(1) of the Anti Corruption Act 2009.
Court heard that in June 2022, at the Office of the Prime Minister's stores in Namanve and Kkola Cell Mukono District, the Minister dealt with government property; 2000 pre painted iron sheets by receiving and holding them.
