Assailants Murder Two Medical Officers in Cold Blood

Shock englufed residents of Nakasongola after finding a man and his wife all Medical officers lying  in cold blood. It's alleged that unknown assailants cut the man and his wife into pieces and left them in a pool of blood before taking off.

The deceased have been identified as Mutinda Julius aged 45 a Muruuli and a medical practicer and his wife one Resty Nakayima aged 35 years also a medical practicer who also doubles as councilor of Kalongo Subcounty and their child one Immaculate aged six months.

According to information availed, on 25/9/2023, Mutinda Julius now the late, had two clinics operating in two trading centers of Bamugolede and Nalugobia, he had gone to pick his wife from Nalugobia on his motorcycle, no. UFL 736K, Bajaj red in color, unfortunately, he was attacked on the way by unknown assailants, who blocked the road by putting logs, stabbing him on the left chest, he fell down with the motorcycle, dead on spot, the attackers, went a head and stabbed the wife to death who had fallen a bout 5 meters away with her 6months old baby and all died, when neighbors rushed to the scene, the assailants took off to an unknown place in the bush.

TwineAmazima Sam the Savanna Region PRO said upon police receiving the information through OC Nakasongola, they responded in time and a case of murder by stabbing was registered, scene visited and documented by soco, m/v for the deceased recovered, statements were recorded and bodies were conveyed to Nakasongola HC IV for postmortem examination.
"More inquiries are still at hand as the motive is not yet known and no arrests were made as of now," TwineAmazima said.
