Assailants Storm Police Station, Steal a Gun and Ammunition

Detectives from Wakiso Police Division have commenced investigations into the alleged theft of a gun by assailants at Namusera Police Post in Namusera village, Namusera parish, Wakiso town council, Wakiso district.

On 12/12/2023 at around 07:30am, information was received from OC Namusera Police Post ASP Kusiima Eseeri that a police officer one No. 71851 PC Musa Wambi has lost a gun. 

Police established that the incident occurred on 12/12/2023 between 01:00am - 04:34am. A case of theft of rifle was registered at Namusera police post vid sd ref 03/12/12/2023. The scene of crime was visited by officers and K9 under the command of RPC KMP/N. The Scene was documented by division soco, Sgt Paddy Yafedi and PC Musa  Wambi who were on duty are charged and currently detained at Wakiso Police division.

It's alleged that on 12/12/2023 one No. 45040 Sgt Paddy Yesefi and No 71851 PC Musa Wambi while on duty at Namusera p/post unidentified person(s) stole a gun from Musa Wambi. 

Its establishment that the post was armed with four rifles three kept under the counter and one was with Musa Wambi who was sleeping under the counter where the other three guns were kept. 

One No. 45040 Sgt Paddy who was on duty with Musa Mambi was seated near the counter suspected to have been sleeping and wasn't armed. 

It's alleged that on 12/12/2023 at around 0445/c, Sgt Paddy woke up checked on his colleague only to find he was dead asleep and his gun was missing. 

The other three guns were not taken but they only picked the one from one Musa Wambi had while the sleep had taken him off. 
Its observed that the two police officers who were on duty are suspected to have been sleeping. 

Its further observed that the post had two officers on duty Musa Wambi who was armed with the stolen gun and Sgt Paddy who wasn't armed.
