City Lawyer Mabirizi Sues Gen Kasigazi over Stopping Bobiwine's Countrywide Mobilizations.

City lawyer Male Mabirizi has filed a criminal case in Nakawa Magistrates Court against the Deputy Inspector General of Police DIGP Kasigazi Tumusiime. 

Mabirizi filed the case on 3 charges against the DIGP over his press release purporting to ban the National Unity Platform NUP party's countrywide mobilisation campaigns. 

According to Mabirizi, the DIGP is a serving officer of Uganda People's Defence Forces UPDF who circulated political statements against NUP party in favour of the ruling National Resistance Movement NRM party.

The charges include; scandalous conduct bu officers contrary to section 145(1) and 145(2) of UPDF Act 2005. Conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline contrary to section 178(1) and 178(2) of the UPDF Act. Disobidience of statutory duty contrary to section 116 of the Penal Code Act, Cap 120.
