Equity Bank Fires MD Anthony Kituuka

The managing director of Equity Bank Uganda Anthony Kituuka has tendered in his resignation to his bosses leaving his job effective from 28th November 2024.

Kituuka has served as Equity Bank Uganda as Managing director for two years from November 2022 and previously as executive director from 2016 and joined Equity Bank in 2014.

However, the board has asked Kituuka to serve notice period to allow the board adequate time to hire another Managing director who will replace him.

Equity Bank Uganda Limited has a current base of 2.2million customer deposits of nearly UGX3Trillion, a loan base book close to UGX1.7Trillion and a balance sheet of nearly UGX3.5Trillion.
