Domestic Violence! Husband Stabs Wife To Death

Police  in Katwe Kamala City are investigating the circumstances under which the husband Maganda Saadi 49years a resident of the same area murdered his wife identified as Aliba Faridah, 20 years old following a domestic altercation.

  Accrding to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire Deputy Public Relations Officer Kampala Metropolitan Police after killing his wife, Maganda confessed to the Defense Secretary that he had killed his wife.

 The Defense Secretary of Kanyanya Zone, Ndejje Parish, reported a case of murder involving one Maganda Saadi, a resident of the same area. Maganda confessed to the Defense Secretary that he had killed his wife, identified as Aliba Faridah, 20 years old, following a domestic altercation.

It is alleged that during the fight, Maganda stabbed Aliba in the neck, resulting in her instant death. Following the act, he reported himself to local authorities. The police responded swiftly, securing the crime scene and recovering critical evidence, including a blood-stained knife and a stone. These items have been taken as exhibits to support the ongoing investigation.

The body of the deceased has been conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem, and police are working to establish the motive behind this tragic incident. More updates will be provided as investigations progress.

In a related incident, Katwe Police are currently investigating a case of sudden death that occurred today, 4th October 2024, at around 11:00 AM inside Crusader Church, located in Masajja A cell, Masajja Division, Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District.

The deceased, identified as Sengiyunva Cyrus, a 49-year-old businessman and resident of Jaana Village, Bubeke Sub-County, Kalangala District, attended overnight prayers at Crusader Church but was found unresponsive this morning as congregants prepared to leave. His friends promptly informed church management, who contacted the police.

Upon arrival at the scene, police conducted a thorough examination before transferring the body to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem. Statements from eyewitnesses have been recorded to aid the ongoing investigation. Further details will be shared as they emerge.
