DPP Sanctions 9 Charges Against ADF Terrorist over the Attack of Tourists at Queen Elizabeth
The Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions ODPP has sanctioned 2 charges of terrorism, 3 charges of murder, 3 charges of aggravated robbery and 1 charge of belonging to a terrorist organization to the suspected ADF terrorist.
The DPP, Jane Frances Abodo identified the suspected terrorists as; Kyoto Abdul Rashid alias Njovu alias Tembo in relation to the attack that occurred on 17/10/2023 at Queen Elizabeth National Park claiming 3 lives; a Ugandan guide Alyai Eric, a British tourist Barlow David James and his South African wife Geyer Emmarentia Cecilia.
The suspect Kyoto is set to appear before the Nakawa Magistrate’s Court today 13/11/2023 to answer to the sanctioned charges. He was arrested in a UPDF Marines Forces led operation on Lake Edward where two of his accomplices were shot dead and others escaped in a boat.
