Kampala Crime Surge Is Attributed To Court Bails- Police
police in Kampala have cracked down on the criminal gang identified as (Dog Kanyanya) terrorizing people of Kampala under a group only identified as Kanyanya.
Luke Owoyesigire said, that during police operations in Kisenyi parish in Kampala received complaints from the community about this group commonly known as bikgaali armed with knives and iron bars carrying out street robbing on whoever they come across.
This forced police to fire warning bullets that injured Kanyanya on both legs and later died of injuries.
Police warned of a surge of crime in the areas of Kampala Metropolitan which is attributed to court bails granted to criminals once taken to courts of law.
During a weekly police briefing held at its headquarters at Naguru, Kampala Metropolitan Public Relations Officer Luke Owoyesigire urged residents to always alert police about criminal gangs in their areas
