Fuel Station Manager Shoots Self Dead Over Accumulated Debts.

The territorial police in mubende are actively investigating circumstances surrounding alleged suicide by shooting that occured on 24/06/2024 at around 1900hrs in Kisekende cell,Kisekende ward ,south division mubende municipality ,mubende district .

The deceased has been identified as Atubo Allan a 27 yr old male Manager of Oil Energy Petrol Station and resident of Kisekende cell , Kisekende Ward South division, Mubende municipality,Mubende district.

Racheal Kawala the Wamala Region police spokesperson said, that police were informed about this incident by the Assistant manager at oil energy Petrol Station and we immediately responded to the scene of crime.

Preliminary findings indicate that on 24.06.2024 at about 1500hrs the deceased returned from mubende town and told his assistant Subukire Sharon to inform her husband to borrow him Cash Ugx 3,000,000 and shortly after that he started shedding tears while carrying his two year old daughter.

He then later proceeded to his office. It is alleged at around 1900hrs while one Ejoyiga Hillary (security guard)had gone to sign for a gun for duty, he found Atubo lying in a pool of blood in his office .

He immediately informed the assistant manager who later reported the matter to Police.

Findings further indicate that the deceased had multiple debts.

At the scene of crime Suspected killer weapon SAR gun was found lying in between the deceased's legs facing opposite side with the safety catch open.

The scene of Crime has been examined and documented.

Police have recorded statements from relevant witnesses and the gun has been recovered . Body of the deceased has been taken to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary pending Postmortem.

The oil energy employs Samurai security company guards and it has been established that the guards keep their guns in the manager's office during day time when they are not on duty an act of negligence by the security company.

Two private security guards attached to Samurai Protective Service Security Co.Ltd have been arrested to help in the investigations. Said Sp Racheal Kawala.
