Stop Appearing On Media To Defend Parliamentary Looting, Anderson Blasts Mps Segona, Semujju, Katuntu.
Suspended Deputy Rubaga Resident City Commissioner Herbert Anderson Burora has critised Legislators over covering the corrupt on different media platforms.
Burora metioned Kira municipality MP Hon Ibrahim Semujju Nganda, Busiro East Mp Medard Segona, Kampala Central MP Muhamad Nsereko, MP Asuman Basalirwa and Hon Abdu Katuntu as some of the legislators who are on media defending the contraversal Service Award given to the Parliamentary Commissioners that sparked off public debate.
''In solidarity with your participation in the looting of this country, you have betrayed the long-standing respect the public has had for you. Without shame, you boldly appear on media platforms to defend your chief in looting while our children watch, well aware that what you are doing is wrong. You know the public is against your actions, and that it’s against the moral, legal, and ethical values expected of anyone honorable. Disgracefully, you have tried to convince us, even when you know it’s unacceptable, that the service awards are legitimate because they were passed in the budget''. posted Burora on his Social media.
He says, the Legislators claim that the MPs signing the censure motion were too shallow to read the budget asking how they allowed the appreciation and awards for people that are supposed to supervise without participating in the aggregation of their exceptional work and determination of their award?
''If indeed you saw this item in the budget and kept quiet without raising an alarm, don’t you think you’re guilty of budget corruption''? he questioned.
He noted that the MPs should have raised an alarm to discuss this matter for the entire house.
'Did you see any emergency that raising it for determination by the entire house would have caused danger to anyone, including the Commission? How do you defend yourselves from the guilt of budget corruption. Well, let’s agree that the service awards went through the budget as claimed. What is it that you were appreciating them for? For any award to be extended to anyone, their performance must have been listed, discussed, approved, and stipulated'. He asked.
'The purpose of such, is to inspire others to follow suit. In this case, was it that you the corruption ambassadors as you have portrayed yourselves of late, were you not in consonance with the awardees who approves your obnoxious travel trips endlessly and that alerting other MPs of the act would affect your looting in terms of travels'?He asked.
This is aimed at saving the little consideration left for what you have been in the past. But the public can’t put up with your degenerating sense of entitlement to steal and justify your stealing. I wish you the best in finding your former selves. Burora says.
