Husband Chops off Wife's Head - Beaten To Death

The Uganda Police in Katwe are investigating a tragic double murder resulting from domestic violence that occurred today in Juuko zone, Makindye division, Kampala district.

 The victims have been identified as Rukundo Sharon, a 19-year-old housewife, and Kude, a man aged between 20 and 25 years.

 The couple had been cohabiting for two years and had a child together, but their relationship was marred by frequent fights.

 Two weeks ago, Sharon left their home and moved in with her aunt in Juuko zone, where she worked at her aunt's restaurant, Aunt Joan's Restaurant.

Today, at around 9 am, Kude called Sharon's aunt, threatening to cause harm. Shortly after, he attacked Sharon, cutting off her head. The mob apprehended Kude and beat him to death.

Both bodies have been taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.

Patrick Onyango the Police Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Confirmed the incidents  appealing to couples to resolve domestic issues amicably without resorting to violence.

"We also urge the public not to take the law into their hands, but rather report incidents to the authorities". Said Onyango.
