IGP Ochola cancels transfer message of ICT Director SCP Yusuf Sewanyina.

The inspector general of Uganda police Martins Okoth Ochola has cancelled the transfer of ICT Director SCP Yusuf Sewanyina who was last week removed from his office and taken to police headquarters pending redeployment.

 SCP Sewanyina was replaced by Mr Felix Baryamwisaki who was from the directorate of construction and estates.
However in turn of things, IGP Ochola has again stopped and cancelled the transfer and ordered that each one remains in his office until further notice.
"We don't know why IGP stopped the transfer because the two had even finished handing over offices,"says our spy at the police headquarters.

This change in leadership came shortly after Parliament approved a supplementary budget of Shs187 billion for the third phase of the police CCTV camera project. Mr Ssewanyana was responsible for the success of the previous CCTV camera projects, including the recent installation by a Chinese firm. The police have not officially commented on the transfer, but sources indicate that Mr Ssewanyana was directed to hand over the office to Mr Baryamwisaki immediately.

The third phase of the CCTV camera project will involve the procurement and installation of over 5,000 cameras in the Kampala Metropolitan Area.
