Kilwanyi Murder Suspect Arrested by Police

Mubende's Territorial Police have apprehended a crucial suspect, Tumusiime Benjamin, in connection to a murder case in Kilwanyi village, Kilwanyi parish, Kiruma Subcounty, Mubende district. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the investigation as the authorities continue their efforts to bring justice to the affected community.

The incident took place on July 31, 2023, around 08:00 AM, when Namutebi Milly Naava, her husband, Abudalah Kayezi, and their two sons, Ssekamate Muzafaru and Ibrahim Kaluma, were ambushed by a group of approximately 30 individuals, with Tumusiime Benjamin leading the group.

The unfortunate attack occurred while the victims were leaving Tumusiime Benjamin's home, resulting in the tragic death of Namutebi Milly Naava and her husband, while their two sons sustained serious injuries but managed to escape.

"Tumusiime Benjamin was successfully apprehended today, August 6, 2023, at around 10:00 AM by a joint task team consisting of CID and Crime intelligence in Watuba town, Wakiso. He is currently in custody at Mubende CPS," SP Racheal Kawala, Public Relations Officer Wamala Region said.

"So far, a total of six suspects have been arrested in connection to this murder case, while further inquiries are ongoing," she added.
