M7 Orders Fresh Investigations Into Engola's  Shooting As Police Grills Top Ministry Officials.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who also doubles as the Commander In Chief has ordered police to carry out fresh investigations into the shooting of former Gender Minister Col. Rtd. Charles Okello Engola, Spyreports has exclusively established.

Col Engola was gunned down on Tuesday morning by his bodyguard Pte. Wilson Sabiiti at his home in Kyanja a posh Kampala suburb.
It is on record that after shooting dead the Minister, the bodyguard went out saying he has not been paid for four months and his children were sent away from school. "My salary for four months, my pregnant wife and my children are suffering," the last words Sabiiti said before shooting himself dead in a saloon.
Intelligence sources from State House revealed to us that the President has instructed the Director CID in Police to investigate all the allegations said by the bodyguard before shooting himself dead.
Sources further said that previously the bodyguard had complained of his allowances that were not paid to him. "This man has been demanding his allowances and whenever he would ask his boss, he would be threatened for dismissal," says another source. Another source added that the bodyguard was left behind on Labour Day Celebrations because he had complained of unpaid allowances.

Labour Ministry's Officials Grilled
Meanwhile we have been reliably informed that police detectives at CPS Kampala on Thursday grilled senior officials from the Ministry of Labour over the missing allowances of the police officers attached to the ministry.
"We got information that the deceased bodyguard and other police officers attached to the Labour Ministry have missed their allowances for some time," says a source from CID.
The source adds that the officers appeared at CPS at around midday and were grilled up to 6:30pm.
The source says police demanded documentary evidence showing that the deceased and others officers have been receiving their allowances for the work done.
"The officials came without documentary evidence and were told we want them and the officers signatures confirming the receipt of their allowances," says a senior detective.
The source says the next people to be grilled will be the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs officers.
"After we are done with Ministry officials, we shall call the Defense Ministry to hear from them," adds another source.
He says the deceased claimed he has not received his salary for four years.
"We shall call the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs to bring documentary evidence showing that they have been paying the deceased his salary month after month," Says a senior police detective.
Shortly after the deceased had shot his boss and himself, UPDF deputy Spokesperson Col Deo Akiiki said the deceased was paid his last salary on 27th April.
"It is not true that the deceased was not paid for four years," Says Akiiki. However police detectives say they can not rely on Akiiki' words unless UPDF tables documentary evidence.
Sources say after investigations, police will handle over the report to the president for further action.
Patrick Onyango KMP police spokesperson says more investigations into the Minister's shooting are on going.
