Mbarara Referral Hospital staff Murdered, Body Dumped In River Rwizi

The staff and the surrounding area at Mbarara Referral hospital in Mbarara City woke up in total shock and fear after they were informed that their staff who recently went missing was murdered and her body dumped in River Rwizi, spyreorts has established.

The deceased has been identified as Judith Kyarisiima 52 years a senior Midwife in charge of Maternal and Child health Unit. The body was found floating on River Rwizi.

According to information Kyarisiima went missing on September 2 ,2024. "We last saw her on 2nd September 2024 at around 7:00pm at her home in Katete Central in Mbarara City," Says one if the local residents.

He added that after like three days of her disappearance, we reported the matter to police and investigations were launched," Another family member says.

The family member adds that her husband was arrested last week to help in investigations. Police says, investigations have started and more suspects will be arrested in the due course.

"We want to know what what was behind her murder," Says a source from CID Mbarara.

The Deceased served as National General Secretary for the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union from 1997 to date.
