New MPs Designated To Various Sectoral Coommittees
The government chief whip Hon Denis Hamson Obua has today designated different members of Parliament to the various sectoral committees.
The Former Ethics and Integrity Minister, Nsaba Buturo (Bufumbira East) has been named as the new Chairperson of Committee of East African Affairs, and he will be deputized by Shartsi Musherure Kutesa Mawogola North Legislator.
Agnes Kunihira (Workers MP) has been named as Chairperson of the Committee on Gender, Labour and Social Development, she will be assisted by Laura Kanushu(PWD Rep.), while Joseph Ruyonga (Hoima West) has been named as new Chairperson Health Committee, following the dropping of Charles Ayume (Koboko Municipality).
Sylvia Nayebare (Gomba DWR) has been named as the new Chairperson Trade and Tourism Committee, while Pius Wakabi has been named as Deputy Chairperson of Committee of Public Service and Local Government.
Herbert Eriko (Soroti West) has been named as Chairperson, Committee of Environment and Natural Resources, while Alex Byarugaba (Isingiro South) has been named as Chairperson, who will be deputized by Flora Natumanya.
After dropping of Moses Magogo as Chairperson ICT and National Guidance Committee, the NRM named Tony Ayoo (Kwania County) as new Chairperson and Iddi Isabirye (Bunya South), while Stephen Baka (Bukooli North) has been named as Chairperson Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee.
On the same note, Hon. James Kubeketerya will chair the Committee on Education and Sports and will be deputised by Hon. Molly Asiimwe.
