UPDF Soldier, Civilian Killed In Buddo-Masaka  Road Gun Shooting

Security agencies are investigating the murder by shooting incident that occured on the 23rd of July 2024 were a boda boda rider whose names were not captured, opened gun fire at Buddo junction Nakasozi cell, Nabbingo ward, Kyengera town council Wakiso district killing two people instantly. 

The area police at Buddo Junior police post responded to the scene and confirmed the incident.

According to Police, two bodies were lying dead, where one for a female adult lying on tamac and the other male adult in motor vehicle UAK 375U. 

It's  alleged that on the 23rd day of July 2024, at about 9:pm, Brigadier CK Asiimwe an attachee to DRC CONGO a resident Seguku Kajjansi Town Council Wakiso District sent his driver one RA 217785 CPL Okiror Daniel and Ian his brother to Kasese on a yet to be known mission driving motor vehicle UBL 990X Mark X.

The duo reached safely and on their way back, they picked a female relative to the Ambassador to Jibuti one Kalumina Richard. 

When they reached around Mpigi, they were blocked by motor vehicle Reg. UAK 375U progress silver grey in colour with four occupants dressed in military attire and armed with a pistol.

They ordered them, to disembark from their motor vehicle UBL 990X to UAK 375U, that they had been sent to pick them.

They accepted to enter, the car, knowing that, they were the same, may be could have committed a mistake, but they became suspicious when two remained in their vehicle and for them were whisked away by officers they didn't know.

 Along the way, CPL Okiror Daniel was disarmed of his pistol No. UG 45306157 JERRICO with 15 rounds of ammunitions.

Thereafter, the alleged kidnappers started communicating to someone that they had arrested these people and they were delivering them to the one who sent them.

 From this point, Ian and CPL Okiror realized that their lives were in danger, Ian asked to go for short call and in the process managed to escape leaving CPL Okiror in the vehicle of the assailants.

CPL Okiror Daniel started texting his boss one CK Asiimwe that he had been abducted and giving all the details of the motor vehicle he was in.

BRG. CK submitted the telephone number of his driver CPL Okiror Daniel to CMI for location. Upon reaching Buddo junction, CPL Okiror Daniel disarmed the assailants of his pistol and short the driver dead and the core driver managed to escape.

 In the process, a stray bullet caught, a female pedestrian by the names of Nalumanzi Evelyn Zallia Kironde Katenda aged 50 years a resident of Nakasozi cell, Nabbingo ward, Kyengera town council Wakiso district who also died on spot.

 Crime scene visited by DPC, CI, OC CID, SOCO, and a team of detectives. Motor vehicles UAK 375U suspected to be used by the assailants recovered and exhibited.

 Twelve (12) cartridges recovered at the crime scene. Two bodies female and male delivered to city mortuary for postmodern.
