NIRA Warns Refugees,Non Ugandans Over Appearing on The National Register During The Forthcoming Mass Enrollment

The National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA) has sent a strong warning to non Ugandans especially the Refugees desist from appearing on the National Register ahead of the upcoming mass national ID enrollment.

Thi warning has been announced by Rosemary Kisembo,the Chief Executive Officer at National Identification and Registration Authority while breifing press today in Kampala.

She  noted that every Ugandan above the age of sixteen is entitled to have National Identificattion Card while children below 16 year must have National Identification Numbers NIN since every Ugandan has to be attached to a National register.

Kisembo added that the Authority has increased on the Biometrics capturing on the National Register for the reason ojf Inclusivity where every Ugandan will be catured the Face,the ten fingure prints,the irish to both eyes for purposes of unique identity.

She has also called upon Ugandans who may wish to participate in the enrollment process to have their credentials ready as the Authority is planning tho advertise the jobs during this week .

Among the available vaccancies, Kisembo said , they need  Rigestration Assistants and Data Processors with a minimum qualification of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education and one must be  proficient with computer to avoid some complaints of errors during entering Data on the system.The Authority will consider employing staff from their respective districts and one must be fluent in the local languages of the designated areas.
