Don't Leave Your Wives In Barracks- Police Warns Retired Officers

Uganda Police Force has issued a strong warning to the retired police officers not to leave their wives in police barracks as they officially leave the force,Spyreports can exclusively report. 
The strong warning was issued by Deputy Inspector General of Police Maj.Gen Tumusiime Katsigazi while presiding over a retiring function where over 200 police officers were officially retired from the force. The colourful function was held at police headquarters in Naguru a posh Kampala surburb. In his closing remarks the General says "Police officers today we have officially allowed you to leave active service of police. Don't leave your wives in police barracks, they are part of your laggages ," says Gen Katsigazi.  "There is a tendency of some officers leaving the wives behind or wives refusing to go," he says. He added that police barracks can only accommodate serving personnel. "We have issues in the police barracks so we don't want wives of retired offices to remain behind," he sounded. "I know some of you have wives in every station like in Kamudini, Corn club, Moroto etc. and when time comes to go back to the small villages the ten wives may not go and you leave them for who. Please go with them," he says. He further said this time round who ever leaves his wife in the barracks, we shall chase them.
The Gen also urged the retired offices to desist from engaging in criminal activities like robbery, rape,drug taking others. "Use police policy in instilling discipline as guiding principles in fighting against corruption in the society," he says. Mr Samuel Sekaja who among the key note speakers urged to retired officers to fight financial fraud through positive campaign at the local level serving as agents of change.
