NUP President Bobi Wine Fires Former LOP Mpuga Over shs 500m Bribe
The president for National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has fired former Leader of Opposition in Parliament Hon. Mathias Mpuga from his current position of Commissioner of Parliament after investigations pined him to have received a bribe of shs 500m while still holding the office of Leader of Opposition (LOP).
In his letter Kyagulanyi says Mpuga during a state house meeting, accepted to have taken the bribe and he apologised.
"At the meeting, Rt Hon Mpuga,admitted that he indeed took part in the wrong doing and apologised for the same," Reads part of Kyagulanyi sacking letter.
Mpuuga has been asked to step down from his current position as commissioner of Parliament with immediate effect.
The letter adds that he Mpuga was strongly advised that the moral thing to do in the circumstances is to step down from his role as Parliamentary commission with Immediate effect.
