Police Boss shoots Dead Civilian Man In Market, Goes Into Hiding

Police in Adjumani are hunting for a police officer Asp Acaye Moses attached to Alebtong district as OC Station.The hunt follows the shooting of one Omona Simon 24years aresident of Lulayi village in Apaa.

The incident occured at Apaa market ,Mungula Parish, Itirikwa Sub county Adumani district.

According to Adjumani DPC SSP M Bwire, ASP ACAYE MOSES OC station Alebtong reported his presence at Apaa police post indicating that he was following the murder of his brother Opio Emmanuel killed by  mob  justice under Sd ref 09/10/02/2024 of Appa Police Post.

He alleged that the  three suspects who murdered his brother by mob were sighted within Apaa trading center and immediately moved to verify then notify the oc station Apaa to respond.

Shortly information was received from a resident known as Lumala that they have short some one in the market and  team of officers attached to Apaa police station responded and the victim was rushed to the near by clinic for first aid where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A Team of police officers from Adjumani Police Station headed by Dpc, DCID and SOCO responded to Appa to further manage the situation as the search for the Suspect by police and UPDF is ongoing to have the suspect apprehended.Said Bwire.

Body taken to Adjumani Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
