Police Officer Slides, Dies Inside Bathroom.

Shock has engulfed Police officers attached to Kalisizo barracks after finding a body of their colleague helpless lying inside the bathroom.

The deceased has been identified as Rerikayo Charles (NO 64222) a 33-year-old a traffic officer attached to Kalisizo police station.

According to a report given by the Station OC, Asp Emmanuel Tumukunde regarding the incident, it is claimed that the deceased contacted PC Atuzio attached to traffic in Kyotera at 5:30 am on Thursday morning, requesting him to prepare and take them for duty.

However, at 6:00 am when the officers got ready, they were unable to locate the deceased and despite making numerous phone calls, there was no response from him.

As a result of not being able to reach the deceased and his failure to respond to their phone calls, the officers went to his residence and attempted to contact him by knocking on the door, but there was no response. This caused concern among the staff, leading them to break one of the windows, and upon entering; they discovered his body lying in the bathroom.

After discovering the deceased's body, the officers promptly informed SP Musoba Hassan, who is the Divisional Police Commander (DPC) . He arrived at the scene with D/Asp Otim Joyce Eunice, the district Criminal Investigations Department-CID officer, as well as a team of CID officers from Kalisizo and the SOCO team.

The body of the deceased has been retrieved from the scene and transported to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital, where a postmortem examination will be conducted.
