Police Recover Firearm From Prime Suspect Sister's Home

Police in Iganga have recovered a gun and 14 rounds of ammunition from the home of the key robber sister's home.

This was through a police operation  on October 19th 2024 at the residence of Waiswa Hassan and his wife Nakanda Damali in Kasokoso village, Estate parish, Central Division, Iganga District resulted in the recovery of an AK-47 rifle along with 14 rounds of ammunition. 

Nakanda Damali is the sister of the wife of the prime suspect, Nfambi Robert. Additional items seized include a forged motor vehicle license plate (registration number: UBH 408X) and One black Techno button phone.

Nfambi Robert, one of those arrested, confessed to owning the recovered firearm and admitted to participating in several robberies, including one in Kaliro District on October 1, 2024. 

He also disclosed information about several accomplices, many of whom are still at large. 

It is alleged that Kadondo Susan has been responsible for transporting the gun for her during his robbery attempts and that the firearm was stored at their home.  

Upon her arrest, she instructed her daughter to take a black suitcase containing the gun and magazine to her sister Nakanda Damali's house, where it was subsequently found.
