President Museveni Launches NRM Display And Update Of The Party's Membership Registration Exercise, Warns On Fraud
The National Resistance Movement National Chairman, H.E.President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has today launched the display and update of the Party's Membership Register exercise that will start on 13th to 17th March 2024 in all the 72000 Villages across the country.
The President launched the exercise at the Party headquarters in Nakasero, Kampala, and was welcomed by the Vice President, H.E Maj. (Rtd) Alupo, the Party's 1st Vice Chairperson, Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo, 2nd Vice Chairperson, Rt. Hon.Rebecca Kadaga, the Secretary-General Rt. Hon.Richard Todwong and other senior party officials.
The National Party Chairman has warned the village registrars about fraud tendencies like blocking some members from being registered due to political or religious differences and sneaking opposition members into the party register to frustrate the party primaries that they risk being imprisoned for up to not less than seven years.
''Efforts will be very easy if you go back to NRM members with the four principals which are a diagnosis of the problems of Uganda and a prescription'' The President said.

The politics of Tribalism and religious sectarianism are pushed by people who do not know anything about wealth creation.''This is our struggle as leaders to teach every adult Ugandan how to create wealth and I will tomorrow address the nation about this issue of social economic transformation, especially Wealth creation.'' He revealed.
There is need need to emphasize that NRM is a party of ''okuchenura'' meaning that needs solveable but no one to solve should be solved but through work not donations. said, President Museveni
Now the NRM register will be taken to the 72000 villages for verification and updating of their details like to check and find out the missing people, dead, and nonmembers but those who may wish to join the NRM party must be approved by all village NRM Members after observing his or her behaviors for some time.
