National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi lias Bobiwine has been shot in the leg by police in Bulindo! He has been rushed to hospital for urgent medical attention.

The incident was brought to light through a post by the administrators of Bobi Wine's official Facebook page.

According to the Facebook post, Bobi Wine was shot in the leg in Bulindo, Kira Municipality a suburb of Wakiso.

The news has caused widespread concern among his supporters and has led to a flurry of reactions on social media.

By the time of this publication police had not clarified on the incident.

The situation has been further amplified by a video seated on the ground that is currently trending online.

 The footage appears to show Bobi Wine being carried into a car by his team, while a police patrol car passes by.

Bobi Wine, a prominent figure in Ugandan politics, has been a vocal critic of President Yoweri Museveni's government.

His rise from a popular musician to a political leader has been marked by repeated confrontations with the authorities, including multiple arrests and allegations of torture.
