Prisons Commissioner General Byabashaija Reshuffles Prison Officers

 The Commissioner General of Uganda Prison Services Dr Can.Johnson Byabashaija has made an abrupt and massive reshuffle in the prison where over 40 top bosses have been affected.

 The reshuffle comes after Byabashaija held a secret meeting with Internal Affairs Minister Gen Otafiire after passing out officers who finished the Intermediate Course at Prison headquarters at Luzira on Friday.

 "After the pass out ceremony, our boss held a secret meeting with Minister Otafiire in one of the offices and it took almost two hours," Says one of the top prison officers adding that they sensed something would happen. The office says, they have been hearing in roumers that any time massive reshuffle would happen.

" We have been having a lot of conflicts here in prisons where officers have been accusing others of corruption, bribery to remain in offices, hatred among others which had hindered the performance of officers," Another senior officer revealed to us after the pass out ceremony. According to the messaged signed by Dr Byabashaija the service order takes immediate effect.

 "Hand over and take over should be supervised by RPC and DPCs and should be completed by 25th June," Reads part of the message. Dr Byabashaija further said officers who finished the course and were not affected in the reshuffle should report to their mother stations for duty and the care takers should equally report to the stations and continue their duties to.
