The suspended Rubaga Deputy Resident City Commissioner has written to the appointing boss President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni requesting for his early from deputy RCC in charge of Rubaga Division.

On 14th March 2024, Burora was suspended by the secretary office of President Yunus Kakande over making negative comments about the Speaker of Parliament and parliament as an institution both on social media and mainstream media.

Burora cited several reasons for the request for his early retirement including, loss of public trust in whether he could still represent the president because his suspension was triggered by a corruption-related comment.

Burora added that his punishment will hinder other RDCs from continuing to fight corruption in fear of being suspended.

Burora in the wake of his recent social media usage has therefore been suspended by Hajj Yunus Kakande, the secretary in the Office of President, with his matter pending further probe by the appointing authority  the Presidency.

The source further acclaimed that during her meeting with the President on 13th march 2024, the Speaker reportedly complained to the President about the D/RCC’s continued undermining of the institution of parliament and its leaders through his social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
