SACCO Money Conflicts Linked To Kampala Garage Fire Outbreak -Locals

property worth millions have been destroyed in a fire outbreak that gutted a motor garage and furniture workshop at Mulago-Ku bbiri in Kampala City.

At least 14 vehicles were destroyed in a fire at a garage and carpentry workshop , along with some furniture and storage. 

The fire has been contained, preventing it from spreading to residential areas.

According to the residents, the main challenge is sourcing water from a distant location where fire brigade trucks had to draw water from the headquarters that was causing delays in containing this fire. 

Some locals alleged that There was angry mob set the blaze after a SACCO leader allegedly vanished with their money intended for Christmas.

Wakadara Erias, Firefighter Officer said only temporary structures have been destroyed and they have blocked the office occupants to first avoid their offices until the fire is putoff.

However, police had not released any statement on this incident by the time of this publication.
