School Teacher Dies of Electrocution.

Katwe Police Station is investigating circumstances under which a primary teacher died as a result of Electrocution. The deceased teacher has been identified as Lumuli Shavan attached to Circle of Peace Primary School in Makindye Division a Kampala suburb. 

According to our sources, the body of the deceased was discovered by his colleague identified as Bogere Edward 30 years of age with whom they teach at the same school. According to Edward Bogere's naration at police, that as he was passing by the house of the deceased, he checked through the windows, he saw the deceased lying down and he got concerned and called neighbors and leaders to intervene. Our spies said that , leaders later called police which came and was commanded by D/AIP Mpeera Muhammad who is the incharge homeside and his scene of crime officer, (Soco).

The officers recorded statements from different people and the body was taken to city mortuary for postmortem. Police investigations so far reveal that, the deceased teacher was ironing clothes and fell hence lying on the floor after suspected electrocution. Detectives add that the deceased lay in water that had poured on the floor. A case of death by electrocution has been opened at Katwe police station vide SD 97/9/6/2023 and investigations are on going.
