President Museveni Provides Update on COVID-19 Status and Calls for Vaccination
President Museveni who is in self isolation for five days now after being tested positive for coronavirus has updated the country on his health conditions.
In a statement released last night by the presidential press unit, the president said, he slept very well up to the 10th hour without headech and mild throbbing. President added that the latest tests he took indicated that he is still positive and he has to wait for some more days until he tests negative.
The President is currently on the fifth day of his COVID-19 diagnosis. However, he expressed relief that his symptoms have been improving. "The previously experienced headaches and muscle soreness have subsided, and the roughness in my throat has also diminished," Museveni said.
Despite these improvements, the President revealed that his recent COVID-19 test results still returned positive. He assured the public that he remains in self-isolation at Nakasero.
In closing, the President reiterated the importance of vaccination in the fight against COVID-19. He urged all citizens to get fully vaccinated and emphasized the need for elderly individuals to receive booster shots.
