Son Stabs Father To Death Over Tasking Him To Explain Why He Had Become A Habitual Thief
The Police in Masindi district have arrested a 30-year old man only identified as Okecha after allegedly killed his father who accused him of theft.
Alex Omochi 60years a resident of Nyakabaale village in Kiruuli sub county Masindi district who has also been the Nyakabaale Village Chairman faced his death after convening a meeting where some neighbors complained that the chairman's son Okecha had become a serial thief.
The suspect was further accused of stealing area solar panels,subwoofers among other property.
One of the residents Henry Kisasi said that, during the meeting , the suspect was tasked to explain as to why he had turned into a habitual thief which angered him before jumped pout of the this meeting to bring the machete he used to kill his father.
''When he was probed about his theft, Okecha jumped out the meeting on to return with a machete that forced other members to flee leaving Omachi the meeting convener helpless. He pushed his father to the ground and started stabbing him in the neck, killing him instantly''. said Kisasi.
The incident forced the resident to alert police that rushed to the scene and conveyed the body to Masindi General Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.
The Albertine Region Police Public Relations Officer SP Julius Allan Hakiza confirmed the incidence noting that, the suspect who had gone into hiding was arrested by police awaiting for being arraigned in court on murder charges.
