Top Kampala City Armed Robbers Arrested In An Intelligence Led Operation.

Nateete Police Division have arrested four suspects who have been terrorising the residents of Nateete.

 The four suspects are; Kayondo Isaac, Bukenya Godfrey, Kavuma Sam, Madana Douglas One of the suspects called Kayondo Issac is the defence Secretary of zone 8 Lubaga Division.

 Police got information that thugs are planning to rob people along Mackey Road.

Police laid an ambush to trap the thugs. The thugs attacked Nateete factory zone Rubaga Division at around 0300hrs.

The suspects climbed the tree that is adjacent to the perimeter wall of one of the homes in the area and jumped over it.

 Four of them climbed on top of the house and removed roofing tiles and opened the door from inside.

 The house had a camera installation but the thugs disorganized it by cutting the wires. Six of them accessed the house and immediately tied the victims with ropes and started demanding money while holding pangas and a toy pistol.

 One of the victims managed to untie him self and made an alarm that forced the thugs to run away. Meanwhile, Police had laid an ambush for them and four of them fell into their trap and they were arrested.

The scene of crime was later visited, examined and documented. Police recovered the weapons the thugs were using which included; two new pangas, a pair of pliers, two ropes, black cap, hand knife, two ropes, a toy pistol and master keys.

SSP Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson said that the thugs had managed to steal aTV flat screen, two decoders, mobile phones, DVD, laptop bag and a radio.

 All the suspects are detained at Nateete Police station and charged with aggravated robbery. He added.
