Top Ugandan Musician Dies of Kidney Failure at Mulago Hospital.
Ugandan Musician Evelyn Lagu whose real name is Evelyn Nakabira has died, our sources said. Lagu passed on Monday morning at around 2 a.m. from Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Earlier this year, Lagu's condition worsened as she was battling kidney failure for several years. She was undergoing costly treatment rendering her unable to support herself.
The President of the Uganda National Musicians Association (UNMF), Edy Kenzo confirmed the sad news on social media on Monday morning.
