Traffic EPs Fraud Scandal Deepens; Nampima Tormented Us Long Time Ago ; Say Officers.
Happiness has increased in the Traffic Directorate fraternity after receiving news that ASP Faridah Nampima has been removed from her office as head EPs tracking unit and also reverted from traffic. According to our sources who asked not to be named, ASP Faridah tormented them for over two years over EPs tracking system. Officers especially OC traffic and Regional Traffic officers RTOs have not been on good terms with Nampima saying that on many occasions, she has been making and submitting monthly EPs returns which do not Tally with their records. "This Lady would openly tell you that if you don't do what she wants, you will have to defend your self before the top management of traffic,"says a traffic officer. Another officer told us that, Nampima would report us to the Director telling him that we are non performers when actually it's her and her team that would remove our reciepts from the system and because our Director had not realized their fraudulent activities, he would agree with her and she would tell us to know that she is powerful. However as the saying goes that fourty days of a thief always come to an end, Nampima's days have come to an end and she has left us in our offices despite being our tormentor. Three traffic officers namely SP Clare Ansasire, ASP Faridah Nampima and SP Ouma have been removed from traffic over allegations of stealing shs 5Bn as a result of manipulating EPs tracking system. However director traffic and road safety Commissioner of Police Lawrence Nuwabine has said that those traffic officers named in the EPs scandal must be prosecuted criminally in courts of law. Other officers told us how Nampima would call threatening them that they are going to be reverted and removed from traffic directorate if they don't increase on their working Rate not knowing that she wanted to keep seeing many EPs tickets and keeps reaping from our sweat. Traffic Director Nuwabine told us that the Professional Standards Unit "PSU" is still investigating them and they will wait for it's final report and another step will be followed. Nuwabine further said that he has also charged them for refusing to hand over offices and their files have been taken to Directorate of Human Resource for further Management.
