Wealth Of Thieving Traffic Police Bosses Shocks IGG Investigators

The wealth of the recently suspended traffic police officers has shocked the investigators from the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Spyreports has exclusively learnt.
The office of IGG recently joined Police Professional Standards Unit (PSU) in investigating senior traffic Police officers who are accused of swindling over shs 5bn EPS funds.
The officers who are currently under investigations of shs 5bn EPS funds are SP Asansira Clare, ASP Nampiima Faridah and  SP Auma Slivia.
The investigator from IGG's office recently told us that they are looking where the police officers could have invested the billions they stole.
"We have been tracing their personal life style and during our investigations we have found out the officers are stingingly rich beyond their police earnings," Says one of the investigators.
He added some of the two traffic officers sleep like kings in their mansions built in hidden areas with in Wakiso District.
"We landed on the two powerful Mansions belonging to the traffic officers and each is valued at almost shs 600m," Adds another IGG investigator adding on top of the houses, they drive latest ML 350 4Matic Mercedes Benz cars valued at around shs 150m each.
"We have found out that they owned these assets using stolen money because when we estimated their earning and the time they have spent in police, it tells you they have not earned that money," Reveals another Investigator.
He added that they have never declared those assets to the office of IGG.
"All Government officials are mandated to declare their assets to the IGG according to the law but in our records those officers have never declared such assets to IGG as part of their wealth," Sounds another investigator.
He further says after investigations, the officer may be charged of theft, abuse of office and Corruption.
The source says upon conviction each officer may get a sentence of over 10 years in jail. Meanwhile IGG spokesperson Irene Munira when contacted confirmed that police officers are under investigations.
