Traffic Police Issues Guidelines Ahead of Commonwealth Speakers’ Conference
The Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety has issued guidelines to motorists and road users ahead of 27th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth.
"As the Common Wealth Speakers and Presiding Officers’ Conference begins today January 3rd to January 6th 2024, at Speke Resort Munyonyo, the general public is advised to carefully use the roads and give priority to the conference delegates," said Micheal Kananura the Traffic Police spokesperson.
"There will be road use restrictions and alternative routes as directed by traffic officers, we thus appeal to all road users to comply with traffic police directives," he added.
Throughout the conference days, increased activity is anticipated on various routes leading to Speke Resort Munyonyo, the Traffic Police advises all travelers who have flights at Entebbe International Airport to plan their Journeys in time to avoid the foreseeable inconveniences.
The traffic police shall continue updating the public on the ongoing conference and the forthcoming NAM & G77+China Summit.
"We kindly request the general public to demonstrate patience and extend courtesy to the conference delegates," Kananura said.
