Woman Stabs Sister's Son , Commits Suicide

The Police in Kajjansi are investigating a case of suspected suicide and attempted murder that happened at Nakigalala cell, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District.

The deceased was identified as Namaganda Olivia a resident of Nakigalala cell.

The victim's names are withheld since he is still a minor.

On 23 May 2024, Police received information about suspected sucide and attempted murder, a team of Police officers were dispatched to the scene.

 On arrival the team started investigating the matter, documented the scene and recorded statements from relevant witnesses.

The team recovered a knife that was used in the attempted murder incident.

Police's findings indicate that the deceased was a bar attendant and was living with her sister called Natasha.

Namaganda attempted to kill her sister's son before killing herself Namaganda had only stayed for two weeks in the area.

The deceased was also found with two cut wounds, on the neck and the breast .

The victim was found to have been stabbed with a knife from the neck and had already been taken for treatment at Doctor's hospital in critical condition.

SSP Patrick Onyango Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson noted that  the motive of the deceased actions is yet to be established as inquiry into the matter is underway.
