Youth Activists issue A Two-Day Ultimatum To UHRC To Address Rights Violations Against Peaceful Protesters
A group of youth activists under their umbrella East African GEN Z Uganda Chapter led by Thomas Bagonza and Alex Luwemba has formally petitioned the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC), about the widespread violations against peaceful protesters.
These youths have threatened to stage a protest at the commission's premises if their demands are not met. Their petition was received by the commission's PRO Alex Bukumunhe
They have asked the commission to compel Police to stop arresting peaceful protestors fighting against corruption in Uganda.
They now want the commission to make investigations and make recommendations halting UPDF from involving in arresting demostrators who are peacefully holding their leaders accountable.
The youths are also demanding for unconditional release of all detained youth activits that were arrested protesting in different parts of the Country
