80 Suspected Criminals Arrested From Kampala Key Black Spots

Police working with sister security Agencies and local leaders conducted an intelligence-led operation  conducted in conjunction with local leaders in the Central Business District on January 22,2025 arresting 80 suspected criminals terrorizing people of Kampala.

 The operation targeted individuals who congregated in designated black spots, consumed narcotics, and then committed various crimes against innocent civilians.

 The 80 suspects were apprehended in areas around Clock Tower, Good Shade, and Cooper Complex and were found to be in possession of suspected narcotic substances.

The suspects were subsequently charged and detained at CPS Kampala, pending court proceedings.

Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson noted that, this operation is part of ongoing efforts to eradicate criminal elements in the Central Business District, ensuring a safer environment for the community.
