Armed Suspect Shot By Police Officer, Both Admitted

 Police in Kyegegws district are investigating an incident where armed suspect resisted arrest resulting into a gun shooting that injured No.64576 Ojuk Jimmy  aged 35yrs old a Langi by Tribe a Police officer attached to FFU Kyegegwa CPS in the Kyegegwa District.

 It is alleged that on the 06th day of November 2024 at around 1631/c,No.43074 DSGT Assimwe Fabion and the Team attached to Kakabara Police Station Under Kyegegwa CPS in the Kyegegwa District,had gone to arrest a suspect on a case of Robbery where he stole 3,000,000=,they called for a rescue team when the Suspect was found Violent and Armed with a panga attempting to Kill the arresting officers,as the Rescue team arrived at the scene of Crime,they tear gassed the house,and immediately the Suspect came out running from his house Armed with a panga aiming at cutting a police officer who shot one scaring bullet in air,but a suspect went a head to the Police Officer one No 64576 PC Ojuk Jimmy and Cut his Right side of the head.

In the Process,the police officers discharged scaring bullets out of which one shot the suspect's thigh.

Both the suspect and Victim (Police officer) were both rushed for Medical treatment at Kyegegwa General Hospital.

The exhibits recovered namely; the Panga,suspected blood stains among others. 

The suspect was arrested and admitted at the Kyegegwa General Hospital since he was hurt in the Scuffle.

 According to police, the Suspect had written a death threat,and had handed over all his documents to the relatives ready to kill a person and commit suicide. -

 "Two weeks ago the suspect had a domestic Violence with his wife,where the wife decide to leave the home and rented her own house on Kakabara town".Police added
