NRM Chairperson Collapses, Dies During Court Proceedings

 Court session in Kayunga Town came to a standstill when the chairman of the ruling NRM party chairperson for Busaana sub-county collapsed and died during a court session.

  Alex Kenyi, 56 and Chairman NRM Busaana Subcounty collapsed and died during a court session.

According to onlookers,  Kenyi was testifying in a land dispute case, accusing another resident of unlawful possession of the plot in Namagabi village, when the sudden collapse occurred.

 Henry Kaggwa, LC1 chairman for Namagabi A village, who witnessed the incident revealed that , the deceased had just stood up in the dock when he collapsed. Court attendees rushed him to Kayunga Regional Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

 Kaggwa added that Kenyi had been experiencing health issues and had ridden his motorcycle to court.

The family of the deceased is now awaiting a postmortem report to determine the actual cause of Kenyi's death.
