Chinese Embassy Stuck With 300 Ugandan Passports

 The Chinese Embassy in Uganda is stuck with over 300 passports belonging to Ugandans.

 According to the Spokesperson of Internal Affairs Ministry Simon Mundeyi, the Embassy has stayed with Passports for over two years.

 "Some Ugandans went applied for Visa to traval to China and left their passports.

Visas were put it but the owners refused to come for them," Says Mundeyi. He added that some of the visa even got expired.

 "These people paid almost 200$ for these visas and they surrender their passports but have declined to come and pick their passports.

We kindly call them to come and pick them," he says. He says the Ministry has called them but unfortunately some of their phones are off. "If you know anybody who applied for China Visa and he or she did not traval, inform them to come and pick their passports," He stresses.

Meanwhile he revealed that traveling to Kenya and Rwanda does not need any passport or visa but travelers will only need their National IDs.

 "The National ID only allows a Ugandan to move to only Kenya and Rwanda," he says adding other East African Countries you will require to fill a form at the cost of shs 40000 only.

He also revealed that they conducted an operation in several parts of the Country and over 500 foreign Nationals were arrested with out work permits. He says some were deported while others are still under investigations.

 He also warned some radio stations that give false information about the employment of refuges in Uganda.
