CMI Arrests Top Three ADF Commanders.

The Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence CMI in coordination with Njeru divisional police, on Monday 01/05/2023, carried out a counter terror operation in Buikwe district, where 3 suspects linked to the ADF terror networks, were arrested from Kisungu zone, Namwezi, Mbiiko Njeru division and taken into the custody of CMI. The 3 suspects include; Sheikh Yasin Ssenyonga, Abubakari Katakuwange, Juma Kabogere Mwinomuze.

SCP Fred Enanga the Police spokesperson said "as the Joint Security Agencies, we have intensified operations against any persons linked to acts of terrorism. We continue to monitor all spaces in homes, places of worship and businesses, which are acting as domains for the recruitment and coordination of terror activities. We also want to reiterate that the arrested persons are not arrested for their beliefs, ideology or religion, but for their alleged involved in violent hostilities of terrorism."

Enanga reminded Ugandans to reject all forms of terrorism, by being extra vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities in their neighbourhoods, as the Joint Security Agencies, the counter-terror operations against terrorists, their agents, operatives and collaborators remain active and ongoing.
