Dunstan Balaba Takes Over Office As New Permanent Secretary OPM

The Office of the Prime Minister OPM has received a substantive Permanent Secretary after the demise of Keith Muhakanizi.

The acting Permanent Secretary, Rose Alenga handed over office to Dunstan Balaba, former Buikwe Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) during the weekly meeting of the Ministry’s Technical Committee.

With over thirty years of experience as a civil servant, Balaba served as CAO in many districts including Tororo, Mayuge, Kabale among others. He replaces Keith Muhakanizi who died on April 13, 2023 in a hospital in Milan, Italy after a long illness.
