Eng. Daniel Bbosa Laid To Rest, New Lwomwa Lwasi Eria Installed

Kabaka of Buganda has praised the late Daniel Bbosa for being obedient to his Kingdom and a good 17th Ndiga clan leader in a message delivered by the first deputy prime minister of Buganda Prof. Dr. Al-Hajji Twaha Kawaase.

The late Lwomwa ( a distinguished title accorded to the Ndiga clan head in the Buganda Kingdom) has been buried in his Ancestral land in Mbaale village Mpigi district and replaced by Eria Lwasi Buuzaabo.

According to Buganda culture, the New clan head is installed on the same day the former is being buried a ritual being performed by the very clan leaders.

The late Lwomwa (Danniel Bbosa) was buried with 100 backcloths in a grave size at least 15 ft below the ground by only other clan Heads at exactly 2pm.

National Unity Platform Leader Hon. Robert Kyagulany Ssentamu also performed some as the nephew. Others in attendance were State Minister for ICT Joyce Nabosa Ssbugwawo on behalf of the central Government who is also from the Ndiga clan.Others were Leaders of opposition led by Rt.Hon.Joel Ssenyonyi, First Buganda Premier, Prof. Twaha Kawaase, members of parliament all clan heads among others.

Joel Ssenyonyi appealed to the new Lwomwa to always be polite and listen to the subjects of diverse views and always be appologetic incase of any mistake.

The Head of Ndiga Clan in Buganda Kingdom Eng. Daniel Bbosa was shot dead by gunmen on a motorcycle in Lungujja on 25th February 2024 but the angry Mob descended on one of the assailants identified as Enock Sserunkuuma and killed him instantly while Noah Luggya was rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment while cuffed

Both Sserunkuuma and Luggya are from the Ndiga clan. The duo allegedly together with another suspect still at large attacked and shot dead Bbosa inside his car near his home in Lungujja parish, Rubaga division, Kampala.
